(KUTV) Police responding to a burglary shot and killed a dog
Friday night. The incident occurred in the 500 block of 7th Street around 11:30
p.m.
Police say the dog threatened officers while responding to a
burglary in-progress. The officers walked up to the residence, where a man was
outside the home with a dog. The dog began barking and then charged.
One of the officers fired two shots at the dog from about 10
feet away. The dog's owner has not formally filed a complaint but the incident
is under investigation. Ogden police shot another dog on March 3.
