DUNDALK, Md. — Baltimore County police say a woman was hospitalized after
being attacked by her pit bulls, and police had to shoot one of the dogs.
The attack occurred Friday afternoon at the woman's home on North Point
Road near Sparrows Point. Police say the woman was bitten by at least one if
not both of her pit bulls and was seriously injured. She was taken to a
hospital.
Police say the dogs got loose after the attack, and neighbors were warned.
Police found one of them about five hours later. Police say the dog continued
to be aggressive, and officers were forced to shoot and kill it…instead of spraying the animal or stunning
it…. The other dog was found a short time later and is being cared for by
Animal Control personnel.
